Our idyllic holiday villa is just 10 minutes from the airport in a beautiful location on the south of the island. It is the perfect retreat for a self-catering holiday. The villa is in a pretty tree lined, secluded but secure gated community of just 22 houses.
The cosy interior of the villa consists of a lounge and kitchen which are open plan with the lounge area tastefully furnished with ample comfortable seating. There is a good sized, secluded patio area which is ideal for al fresco dining. The dining furniture seats eight people. Next to the patio there is an inviting plunge pool which is perfect for cooling off.
Two very large double bedrooms, with dressing rooms and en suite facilities are situated upstairs. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed, the second bedroom large twin beds which can be pushed together for a couple. Downstairs there is another double bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom with shower, wash basin and WC are next door.
There is a safe which can be used to store your valuables. The kitchen has everything needed including a food processor and cafetiere. There is a large American style fridge which dispenses water and ice.
The garage houses the washing machine and separate tumble dryer as well as a sink for hand washing. Beach equipment for general use ie: a cool box, boogie boards and children’s inflatable toys are found in the garage. There are numerous DVDS, books and board games in the lounge on bookshelves and in drawers. There is a docking station for an ipod or an MP3 player.
For the safety of the Cotton Bay Close community a code is needed to open the gates and pedestrian access to the property.
The entrance to Cotton Bay it is a one minute walk to Freights Bay which is perfect for beginner surfers and paddle boarders (known to be the best beach in the world for learning to surf). Surfing, body boarding, wind surfing and kite surfing are just a five minute drive away. A ten minute walk will take you to the beautiful, unspoilt Miami beach, great for swimming and relaxing on the beach. There are picnic areas with casuarina trees for shade when the sun gets too much!
The Barbados Golf Club is a five minute drive away and welcomes visitors.
Buses run regularly up the coast to Bridgetown the capital and are inexpensive. This is a fun way to travel, take in the sights, sounds and smells and see different parts of the island from a local perspective.
Local fresh fish can be bought daily at the lively Oistins fish market. On Friday this becomes a vibrant night spot to eat fish fry, drink local rum and beer and join in with the local dance scene! Good place to take in the local culture.
Visitors to the property will be greeted by our representative who will go through the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Our representative will advise on any queries you may have including where to go shopping for food etc. A visitors’ handbook is available in the lounge with helpful information about the property and the local area.
